Dr. Jeremy Orgel - 30 Years of Personalized Psychiatric Care

Jeremy Orgel, MD, is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst whose career spans more than three decades of clinical practice, psychiatric consultation, psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis. Throughout his professional journey, he has remained dedicated to helping adolescents and adults improve their mental health, strengthen their relationships, and lead more fulfilling lives. Dr. Jeremy Orgel’s approach combines evidence-based psychiatric treatment with an understanding of the emotional and psychological factors that shape human behavior.

In 1994, Dr. Orgel established a private psychiatric practice in San Francisco, where he provides outpatient psychiatric care to adults and adolescents. Over the years, his practice has evolved to include psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, psychoanalysis, and comprehensive psychiatric evaluations. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, he transitioned to a telehealth-based model, allowing him to continue serving patients remotely.

Between 1996 and 2021, Dr. Orgel worked as an attending psychiatrist for the adolescent inpatient unit of the McAuley Neuropsychiatric at St. Mary's Medical Center. There, he coordinated multidisciplinary treatment teams, worked with families and caregivers, collaborated with schools and community providers, and helped guide patients through some of the most challenging periods of their lives. For five of those years at St. Mary’s, he served as Medical Director.

Since 2023, he has served as a staff psychiatrist at Woodlands Internists in The Woodlands, Texas. He works alongside primary care physicians and provides specialized psychiatric consultation for patients whose mental health needs intersect with complex medical conditions.

Currently, Dr. Orgel maintains his outpatient practice with patients in California and Texas, working remotely and in person from his home location in Austin, TX.
